Simile

He’d no more heart than a iron file, he was as cold as death, and he had the head of the devil afore mentioned.

Meaning of simile

Pip is talking about Compeyson not caring about anything and he is comparing him to a iron file. By Pip saying he had a head if a devil suggests that Compeyson’s head is set to evil things. Pip says Compeyson is as cold as death. When people die their bodies go cold, Pip is trying to say that Compeyson is near to dying.
