Chapter 20

In chapter 20 Pip moves out and goes to London. When Pip gets to London he thinks it is nasty, labyrinthine, and abrasive place. Pip  goes to Mr. Jagger’s, when he gets there Pip is greeted by a clerk who lets him know that Mr. Jagger’s isn’t there but he can wait inside. When Pip gets there he finds out that Mr Jagger’s office is a weird place.

Chapter 21

In chapter 21 Mr Wemick takes Pip to Barnard’s inn. Whilst he is there Pip thinks about what his apartment will look like. Pip arrives at his apartment, shakes Mr Wemick’s hand and goes to his room. Mr. Pocket Junior arrives, and gives Pip some strawberries, Pip is shocked about Pocket juniors being kind to him.  Pocket Junior doesn’t have that much money, he said that he was going to give Pip a tour of London in the morning. Then they both notice that they had a fight with each other at Miss Harvisham’s

Chapter 22

Pip asks Herbert if he can help him to be a gentleman. After they both agree to live with each other. As Herbert is teaching Pip how to be a gentleman he corrects him with his bad table manners and gives him the nickname of Handel and tells him about Miss Harvisham’s life. Her childhood, what happened with her marriage and how her brother set her up by taking some of the money that her dad gave her. Miss Harvisham’s received a note at 20 minutes to nine from her fiancée. All her clocks stopped at that time. Miss Harvisham’s adopted Estella so that she could lead men on and then break their hearts.
